Are You Burying Your Feelings Alive

As a holistic health practitioner that specializes in helping my clients overcome self-sabotage I’ve come to understand that the roots of much of our stress, angst and limitations stem from unresolved emotional issues, generally from our childhood.

The concept that a negative experience in our past can have deleterious effects on our present lives just makes sense.  Someone that was badly burned as a child being nervous around fire is just one obvious example.

What we may not realize is that ANY situations that caused negative emotion or trauma may still be impacting us in our daily lives and can be a significant source of stress. For example, if you heard your parents fight over money and they ultimately got a divorce, money conversations with your spouse may be very difficult for you simply because you’ve made a subconscious association between the two.

Thankfully, we have incredible tools to find and resolve those unresolved childhood emotions.  My favourite happens to be the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).  You can learn EFT for free and start dissolving the roots of your stress here.
