Now, I’m not one to follow high fashion, it’s always seemed like a thing for girls that look good in ANYTHING. Let’s face it; a size 12 just can’t pull off the weirdness of high fashion.
But the times, they are a changin’! Last month at Fashion Week in Paris, designer Rick Owens used a multi-cultural dance troop with a wide range of body styles to model his 2014 Spring Collection.
Watch the video to see the confidence and femininity these woman bring to the runway. I cried. Seriously.
It’s SOO refreshing to see that even those in the upper echelons of fashion are starting to get it. Women are more than their bodies and we all deserve to wear stuff that expresses our creativity, looks beautiful and makes us happy!
I meet too many women that are wearing baggy old t-shirts and faded elastic-waisted pants because they believe that there’s no point in spending money on clothes when they are unhappy with their body. I beg of you; go shopping. Find something you LOVE, wear it proudly! Sometimes a simple little shift of thinking can be the catalyst for a whole lot of change. At the very least, you’ll have something to wear to that next party!
