Finding the Emotional Roots of a Food Craving

Research has shown that we often make our food choices based on past experiences or learned behaviours.  That’s not all that surprising.

Do you HAVE to eat popcorn every time you go to the movies? Can you have a summer BBQ without a beer? Do you go straight to the cookie jar or fridge when you’re at your mom’s house?

If you’re committed to eating for life and health, these powerful psychological drivers can really be a hindrance that causes us to crave or obsess over our “comfort foods”.
If we pay attention, rather than just indulge, we’ll often get to the heart of an emotional matter that deserves our attention so we can heal and move on.

Watch this video as I explore the emotional roots of my own food craving for French Toast and apply EFT (The Emotional Freedom Technique) to myself to deal with the emotions that surface so I can take more appropriate action rather than indulge my craving (Crying Woman Alert).
